Accepted Contributions
At JMAAF, we warmly welcome a diverse range of contributions, all of which support our mission to inspire and educate through abstract art. Your generosity fuels our endeavors, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
Cash Contributions:
Our acceptance extends to a variety of cash contributions, embracing the following methods:
- Cash payments
- Checks
- Electronic funds transfers
- Debit and credit card transactions
- Payroll deductions
Non-Cash Contributions:
“Qualified Vehicle”:
- Motor vehicles designed primarily for public road use
- Boats
- Airplanes
“Qualified Appreciated Stock”:
- Stocks of corporations not exceeding 10% ownership
- Stocks with readily available market quotations
- Capital gain properties with short-term impact
“Contribution of Goods and Services”:
We welcome contributions in the form of goods and services, determined based on their level of public support.
“Personal Benefit Contract”:
- Excluding life insurance, annuity, or endowment contracts
“Applicable Property”:
- Tangible personal property with a purpose linked to the doneeās exemption under Section 501
- Property allowing deductions surpassing the donor’s basis
“Qualified Mineral Interest”:
- Subsurface oil, gas, and mineral rights
“Qualified Organization”:
The Justin Mattock Abstract Art Foundation is officially recognized as a āQualified Organizationā by the IRS. Consequently, all charitable contributions within the above-mentioned categories are eligible for tax deductions.
Substantiation Requirements:
It is essential to note that specific contributions require substantiation, as stipulated by the IRS. Within 30 days of receiving such donations, an acknowledgment letter will be issued to acknowledge your generous support.
